About Kimberly

Kimberly Temple selecting fabric in Oahu
Kimberly Temple and her husband Jim first visited Moloka'i for a vacation in April 2002. They fell in love with the island and her people and bought a piece of property for future retirement. At the time they believed they would have to wait for many years before being able to realize this dream. Luckily for them, their life took an unexpected turn and they have been able to call Moloka'i home since November 2002.

Kimberly has been sewing since her early teens. A move to Moloka'i and her "almost" retirement gave Kimberly a chance to rediscover the love of sewing. She started making pillowcases and selling them in a local Art Gallery. Later she expanded into aprons and placemats.

Kimberly and Jim soon opened a retail store, "Bamboo Pantry", in downtown Kaunakakai. It was a wonderful 4 years spent being a business owner and having the opportunity to work with other seamstresses on the island.

Now at last, more changes in life have allowed her to focus all of her creative energies on sewing. Using fine fabrics, the best thread and spending time on detail make her Creations unique and long lasting. Working with Tropical Fabrics, she has found a special niche in the world of household and commercial linens. Sales of her Creations have been terrific thanks to her friend and representative, Susan Worley, on Oahu and also thanks to her wonderful retail clients all over Hawaii.

Kimberly says that she hopes that you will enjoy her tropical creations as she truly likes making them for you.
